JMAC have been installing Macdeck lightweight working platform at Thornley Road, West Denton for Keepmoat Homes for the past year. They continue to provide a very thorough & professional service across all aspects of the business, with particular high standards in programming & response timescales. We've developed excellent working relationships with JMAC. We would have no hesitation in recommending JMAC.
JMAC have supplied the internal decking on the project I run in Whitby. I have found them to be reliable, efficient and extremely quick with their installation, and are always on hand in responding to any queries you may have, therefore I have no hesitation in recommending them for any future projects you may have in the future.
I’ve known JMAC as a scaffolding company for years, so when we were looking for a new safety solution – they were the obvious choice. The Macdeck system as exactly what we were looking for as a health and safety necessity for our staff and the team here were very pleased with the introduction of this product to our site. We have a good working relationship with JMAC, the delivery of the products is always on time and they’re great at keeping up with our programme whilst providing a safer working environment. The JMAC products are definitely in our plans for the future and, if I had any advice for them, it would be to keep doing what they are doing as a company in terms of keeping up with the supply and demand, they have a good work ethic and are always willing to help when things get tight or we need any last minute assistance.
When we decided to make the transition from fall bags to a safety decking platform, one of the main reasons we chose to go with JMAC was the flexibility that the Macdeck system offered for our house types. We worked closely with Luis & the team throughout the transition process to listen to the feedback from site teams, and utilise their wealth of experience and knowledge to resolve any issues immediately.
I have had the pleasure of working with Luis and the JMAC team. Their safety decking is the strongest system I have used. All dealings have been professional and productive. A company that can quite clearly deliver its product and exceeds expectations.

At JMAC Group, we don’t just aim to improve on traditional decking, we’ve redefined what a safety decking system should be. MacDeck is the most complete and comprehensively tested system on the market, offering a smarter, safer, and more reliable alternative to the potentially outdated Trad Deck setups.
Built to outperform, MacDeck is tested to 2.5kN/m² and certified to Load Class 3: General Purpose Platform, with a robust load capacity of 2.0kN/m². It meets and exceeds UK Health & Safety standards, including full compliance with BS EN 12811-1 Part 3, ensuring structural integrity for internal fall protection.
But we don’t stop at compliance. Our product undergoes extensive UV exposure testing in collaboration with Teesside University—proving its resilience against extreme weather conditions, including environments as harsh as the Arizona desert. It also passes the roof non-fragility test (ACR[M]001:2000), further cementing its status as a dependable working platform.
Every panel of MacDeck reflects our commitment to engineering excellence, safety, and innovation. If you’re still using traditional timber or plastic systems, MacDeck is the logical, future-ready choice. Choose confidence. Choose performance. Choose MacDeck.

Macdeck safety decking systems offer versatile solutions with panels available in three different sizes: 1m x 1m, 1m x 750mm, and 1m x 500mm and can be customised to fit any construction site requirement.
The lightweight nature of Macdeck enhances portability and ensures that the crash decking system can be effortlessly manoeuvred into place; an ideal choice for projects demanding both speed and safety.
We provide a range of solutions tailored to different types of construction projects. Our Macdeck safety decking system is versatile and suitable for various build types, including Traditional, Timber Frame, Steel Frame, and commercial builds such as care homes.
Depending on the platform height required for your project, we offer a selection of fixed and extendable legs ranging from 1.5m to 3.0m platform height.
For instance, a typical new build using Masonry often requires a platform height of 1.8m, with exceptions like garages where a 1.5m platform height is preferred.
In Timber or Steel Frame builds, the typical platform height is 2.0m, although 1.8m is sometimes suitable.
For commercial builds and care homes, platform height requirements can vary depending on ceiling heights and construction methods. Our range of extendable legs ensures flexibility to accommodate these diverse scenarios.

Whether it’s for a traditional house or for spaces with higher ceiling heights, our system offers customisable options. Additionally, it can be freestanding, making it ideal for areas with open-ended facades or elevations where a supporting structure isn’t necessary.

Indeed, the Macdeck system can be assembled freestanding with the use of the MacBrace component. This integral feature enables the Macdeck crash deck to achieve complete freestanding stability when constructed according to manufacturer guidelines.
As a result, it eliminates the necessity for supporting walls, which is often a prevalent need in today’s market. This requirement is particularly common in scenarios with low-level living spaces at single-story height, protruding porches, and expansive open facades awaiting curtain walling.
For detailed assembly instructions and structural calculations, please refer to the manufacturer’s guidelines.
The Macdeck trad deck system can support a load of up to 2.0kN (200kg) per m2, provided that the weight is evenly distributed above the legs. Loading diagrams are available upon request for each individual house builder’s specifications.
It’s important to note that the overall loading capacity is also influenced by the load capacity of the floor joists provided by the manufacturer. While our safety decking system can handle loads of up to 2.0kN, it’s essential to consider the limitations of the floor joists. In some cases, the joists may not be able to withstand the additional load imposed when the crash decking system is fully loaded.
Our safety decking is specially engineered to accommodate tubular or system scaffolds built through its structure. We provide a standard scaffolding crash deck design with accompanying calculations to support the erection of party wall scaffolding through the decking system. Leveraging JMAC’s rich heritage and experience in managing a reputable scaffolding company, we offer tailored advice and solutions for bespoke projects. This expertise enables us to coordinate scaffolding operations seamlessly with safety decking platforms, ensuring maximum value for our clients.
We provide Macdeck legs in three different sizes: 1.5m (white), 1.8m (black), and 2.0m (black). Additionally, we offer an extendable leg option, allowing for adjustable heights ranging from 1.8m to 3.0m.
We offer extended stillages capable of storing up to 102 legs each. Panels should be pallet-stacked and banded, with a maximum stack height of 25 panels.

Like all products in use on construction sites and if handled incorrectly, like everything it can break.
Our heaviest component is under 10kg, our 1m x 1m panel.
The cost varies depending on factors such as whether it’s new or used, as well as the leg height required. Generally, prices fall within the range of £55 to £85 per square meter. For an accurate price tailored to your specific needs, we recommend requesting a quote.
