J Mac Scaffolding was Employed as the Specialist Scaffolding Contractor by Stockton Borough Council and MDS Environmental Services to undertake the Erection and Dismantle of a Designed Birdcage Scaffolding with Multiple access Staircases to allow for the safe removal of Asbestos located in the Roof Void and other areas In and around the building. When fully erected this project had over 300 Tonnes of Scaffolding on site.
The Enabling works where carried out prior to the Principal Contractor Willmott Dixon taking over the project in January 2018 for the Major Refurbishment works, the Scaffolding was built using traditional tubes and fittings with system scaffolding access staircases.
This Project was fully Designed using our in house Cads Software to enable the client to visualise the Scaffolding prior to erection on site, it then required supporting design drawings and calculation sign off by the Engineering department of Stockton Borough Council ensuring the balcony area was capable of withstanding the leg loads imposed by the Scaffolding Standards.
